Thousands of people have signed a petition calling for Katie Hopkins to face criminal action after her disgusting Ebola tweet.
It has been confirmed Police are making inquiries following complaints about Katie’s tweeting relating to an Ebola patient in Glasgow.
Katie tweeted: “Little sweaty jocks, sending us Ebola bombs in the form of sweaty Glaswegians just isn’t cricket. Scottish NHS sucks.”
Katie tweeted this a few hours after news broke about a nurse, Pauline Cafferkey who was diagnosed with Ebola (that kills) and has been moved to a specialist unit at a hospital in London.
In another tweet, Katie said: “Glaswegian ebola patient moved to London’s Royal Free Hospital. Not so independent when it matters most are we jocksville?”
It has been confirmed that Police Scotland are also looking into this case.
Detective Inspector Glyn Roberts said: “We have received a number of complaints regarding remarks made on Twitter. Inquiries are ongoing into the nature of these tweets and to establish any potential criminality.
“Police Scotland will thoroughly investigate any reports of offensive or criminal behaviour online and anyone found to be responsible will be robustly dealt with.”
