Ed Sheeran races The Stig on Top Gear UK ‘Star in a Reasonably Priced Car’!

Ed Sheeran is one of the first celebrity faces to take part in Top Gear’s ‘Star in a Reasonably Priced Car’.

If you didn’t know Ed Sheeran doesn’t own a driving licence, which means he technically can’t drive.

So as Ed can’t drive, the Top Gear producers gave the singer an automatic Vauxhall Astra to drive instead of a manual, to drive around the private track at Dunsfold Park in Surrey.

After Ed Sheeran finished his race on the BBC show, he tweeted on Twitter: “Had a brilliant time filming Top Gear.”

Jack Whitehall currently has the slowest time so far in Top Gear’s ‘famous’ section, in an Astra.

Check out pictures below of Ed Sheeran taking on The Stig:

You’ll be able to see Ed on Top Gear this Sunday (25th January) on BBC2 at 8pm.
