‘Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights Live’ opening night has been cancelled as Ted Robbins collapses live on stage.

The show, at Manchester’s Phones4U Arena has been cancelled as Ted Robbins has been taken ill.

‘Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights Live’ was being staged in support of Comic Relief 2015 and included the original cast line-up.

Reports have suggested that Ted Robbins – who plays Den Perry has been taken extremely ill and the show has been cancelled with the audience pouring out of the arena.

Ted apparently clutched his chest and stumbled a bit, before the curtain closed immediately with the crew rushing onstage with medical equipment.

Co-star Justin Moorhouse, who plays Young Kenny, informed the audience saying: “We are very sorry. This is not part of the show. I’m afraid we’re going to have to postpone the show tonight.”
