The drama continued on Eastenders last night even after the cameras stopped rolling as a fire broke out and the Fire Brigade had to be called.
After the cameras stopped rolling last night a fire broke out hours after in Dr Legg’s old surgery on the Albert Square set.
Firefighters were called to BBC’s Elstree Studios last night after a fire engulfed one of the buildings on set.
A spokesman for Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said to two crews from local fire stations spent the night tackling in the blaze: “Crews from Borehamwood and Potters Bar were called to the BBC Elstree Studios shortly after 11pm to tackle a fire that had taken hold in the first floor and roof space of a building on Albert Square,
“It’s just a facade for Dr Legg’s surgery,
“The damage was to the inside and roof. It was quite badly damaged, but we put it out before it spread any further.”
The fire that happened last night, apparently won’t jeopardise the live shows this week.
