An incredible 300,000 people have signed a petition calling for Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson to avoid the sack after being suspended from the BBC show.
Last night it was confirmed that Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended from Top Gear after a “fracas” with an unidentified producer.
As news broke of Jeremy’s suspension last night political blog Guido Fawkes get up a petition calling for the Top Gear host’s ban to be uplifted: “We the undersigned petition the BBC to reinstate Jeremy Clarkson.
“Freedom to fracas.”
After the first five hours of the petition going live it gained an awesome 55,000 signatures – but just this second the petition has received an incredible 300,000 signatures.
Veronique Favreau from London wrote: “I pay my TV licence to ensure that irreverent people can express themselves. If you become boarding and politically correct, you may disappear BBC,”
Top Gear this Sunday has been cancelled and the remaining episodes have been postponed until the BBC’s investigation has come up with an answer.
