Comic Relief 2015 ratings only hit an average of 8 million despite money raised!

£78,082,988 was raised last night.

Last night Comic Relief was broadcast live from the London Palladium (March 13) – the charity was launched in 1985.

Comic Relief 2015 featured David Walliams and Stephen Hawking in a special Little Britain sketch, Dermot O’Leary 24-hour dance marathon, Mr Bean, John Bishop, Davina McCall, Lenny Henry, Claudia Winkleman, Daniel Craig, Dawn French, Emma Watson, Russell Brand, Sam Smith and John Legend performed the official Comic Relief single ‘Lay Me Down’.

An average audience of 8.1 million watched the charity show between 7pm and 10pm last night on BBC One.

An average of 8.1 million hasn’t been this low for Comic Relief since at least 1999.

Comic Relief 30th Anniversary has altogether raised over £1 billion.
