It has been confirmed Apple won’t allow third party watch face apps for Apple Watch users – you’ll have to use the defaults.
Apple has confirmed third party apps to replace the Watch face will be rejected from the App Store, meaning owners of the Watch have to use Apple’s default faces, for now.
In an update Apple did to their App Store guidelines, 9to5Mac noticed that they’ll reject any apps from the App Store if its primary purpose of telling the time.
Apple may in the future allow custom watch faces using 3rd party apps, but for now, it’s not an option.
Apple hope to bring out new faces in the future, so you don’t get bored – but surely allowing apps into the store to customise the face of the Watch is an added bonus?
