Kate Middleton has given birth to a baby girl this morning, 8.34am weighing 8lbs 3oz.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, was in the early stages of labour, Kensington Palace confirmed at 6am this morning.
It’s well past Katie’s due date, but finally the baby has arrived.
The Royal baby will be fourth in line to the throne, knocking uncle Harry down to fifth place.
A statement read this morning: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted at 06.00hrs to St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London and is in the early stages of labour.”
“The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.”
Kensington Palace has now confirmed the news of the birth (11:09am) saying: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am.”
“The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.”
“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry & members of both families have been informed her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
