Former JLS member, Aston Merrygold is back to kick off his solo music career with debut single, Get Stupid.
Over the past two years since JLS announced their split, Aston got to work on solo material to kick off his next journey in music. It has been a long time coming and the wait is finally over.
The single cover was revealed earlier this week when Aston got his fans to work to put the pieces of the artwork together. He then announced via social media yesterday that his single title would be revealed soon.
In an interview with Dan Wootton from The Sun, Merrygold announced the title of his debut single is Get Stupid. It was said that he was ready to launch into his solo career straight away but “the record company wanted the timing to be just right.” which lead to Aston feeling a little run down having to wait even though he was ready.
The single is a mix of sounds from Uptown-Funk to Michael Jackson, as he has many music influences and aims to bring big performances.
Merrygold tweeted saying:”I got something else for you aswell as you were so patient with me! This time I PROMISE! Next few hours!”

Aston has already made the video for the single and his debut album is on course to being released but for now, the wait to hear the full single is here.
