On Saturday July 18, Stereo Kicks announced they are splitting up after just under a year of being together.
The shocking news came via the band’s Facebook page in the morning saying the decision had come to go their separate ways. It explains it was not their fault and came as a consequence of a number of things including them not being signed and as a result the group was too big.
They are finishing off with a couple of shows, including their final arena show which is tonight at Manchester’s MEN Arena for Key 103 Summer Live. The eight piece are performing alongside the likes of James Bay, Mark Ronson, Little Mix and Lawson.
Some of the boys posted pictures of them in front of an empty crowd during sound check with messages thanking fans and saying how happy they were to be performing here for one last time.
Jake also tweeted on the band account showing his excitement to be at an arena again:
Fans have been out in full forces on social media setting up trends to try and keep the boy-band together. ‘#WeWantStereoKicksSigned’ has been one of the trends and they have messaged record labels in hope of a signing.
Stereo Kicks last performance together will be at Thorpe Park on Saturday 25 July as part of Island Beats where fans can see Tom, James, Jake, Barclay, Chris, Casey, Charlie and Reece one last time.
We hope the band’s last arena performance goes well and you can keep updated here for the final show over the next week.
