Controversial columnist Katie Hopkins has sparked outrage online as she MOCKS celebrities mourning Cilla Black’s death.
Katie Hopkins showed no sympathy this afternoon as news broke of Cilla Black‘s sudden death at her villa in Spain.
Cilla was made an OBE in 1997 and also awarded a Bafta ‘Special Award’ in honour of her contribution to entertainment in 2014.
Katie wrote on Twitter: “If there are any celebrities who haven’t yet tweeted their sadness over Cilla, please report to Sincerity Services immediately #rushtogush.”

Many people slammed Katie, one user wrote: “Have some bloody respect for someone who has died. She is someone’s mum, grandma, a legend.”
A Spanish police officer revealed: “We are still awaiting autopsy results but everything at this stage is pointing towards her death being the result of natural causes.”
Paul O’Grady, one of Cilla Black’s friends has said he’s finding it ‘very difficult to comprehend’ when news broke of her death.
