Luke Friend, X Factor 2013 finalist has been dropped from his record label Sony after his debut single barely charted.
Luke Friend came third on The X Factor in 2013 behind Sam Bailey and Nicholas McDonald.
Sony have now dropped Luke after his first single ‘Hole In My Heart’ peaked at number 40 back in April.
A spokesperson for RCA said: “Luke is still signed to RCA,” while a music insider told The Sun: “Sadly it is now just a case of waiting until his contract ends.”
Luke is now the third X Factor 2013 contestant to be dropped from a record label.
Sam Bailey was dropped by Syco in February while Nicholas McDonald who was also signed to Sony was dropped months later.
This means The X Factor 2013 didn’t find any successful stars.
