At least 5 more years of Doctor Who – Moffat Confirms!

Steven Moffat has confirmed that Doctor Who will be running for at least another 5 years!

Doctor Who

During an interview with Variety, Steven, the producer of the show, said: “It is definitely going to last five more years, I’ve seen the business plan. It’s not going anywhere.

And he didn’t stop there: “And I think we can go past that. It’s television’s own legend. It will just keep going.”

During the interview, Steven addressed the sad news of Jenna  Coleman leaving the show after this series, who plays the Doctor’s current companion Clara Oswald. This led to some fan speculation that the current Doctor, Peter Capaldi, would also be leaving.

However, he revealed that the Doctor himself would be going no where.

“Peter Capaldi is going nowhere,” he confirmed.

The current series is the ninth series of the modern renovation of the show, but has not been received well by the many fans, with many convinced it has lost it’s identity.
