Madame Tussauds London is showing its support for movember by giving a “tash” to some of its most iconic figures!
Starting from the 4th of November, some of the sporting legend’s figures will be getting a lovely moustache, including Usain Bolt, Mo Farah, Tom Daley and Jonny Wilkinson in support of Movember’s new MOVE initiative.
The new campaign not only encourages pledgers to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, but to also remain active for the 30 days of November. Kick starting the campaign, Madame Tussauds London styled the wax figures of some of the world’s biggest sporting stars with an array of mesmerising ‘mos’.
Edward Fuller, General Manager of Madame Tussauds London, commented: “Madame Tussauds London features some of the world’s greatest athletes, so when we heard about Movember’s new MOVE initiative, we were keen to show our support – and how better than our artists portraying Mo with a ‘mo’?! The stars involved have been very good ‘sports’ and were delighted to have us change their wax figures appearance for this important cause”.
Sarah Coghlan, UK Country Director for Movember remarked: “We’re really pleased to see these sporting legends growing a ‘mo’ and showing support for our new MOVE initiative thanks to Madame Tussauds London.”
The Movember Foundation is a global charity raising funds and awareness for men’s health. These funds deliver breakthrough research and support services to help men live happier, healthier and longer lives. The Foundation is responsible for the sprouting of millions of moustaches around the world in November when men become walking talking billboards for men’s health.
