The new set of celebrities set to enter the jungle this year have been confirmed, see below for the official I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here 2015 line-up.
Last year saw Carl Fogarty be crowned King of The Jungle, with Jake Quickenden becoming the runner up, but now a new set of celebrities are here to battle it out for that infamous crown.
Months of speculation are now over with ITV today revealing just who will be in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here this year.
A total of ten stars will be entering the jungle, but it has not yet been made clear whether any more will be entering after the launch.
Duncan Bannatyne OBE
Dragon’s Den’s Duncan Bannatyne is ready for a new challenge after leaving the den last year.
He says: “I have been a big fan for many years. I always watch the show. Two years ago, I thought I would fancy the challenge and I knew I would be up for it. Then my children started saying ‘Dad you should do it, you would be really good’.
Duncan also insists he has no phobias: “But I actually don’t have any phobias at all. In my head, which is probably wrong, I think I can do all these trials. No problem at all! It is a case of mind over matter – most definitely.”
Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley reckons the jungle will be far tougher than performing to thousands of fans on stage:
“When you go on stage and you have a set of songs to sing, you know you will be ok,” explains Tony. “But with this, you just don’t know. It is stepping into the unknown.”
Legendary BriJsh boxer Chris Eubank has leapt at the opportunity to go in this year’s jungle
because he says it will be his first ‘holiday’ since the age of 16.
“They approached me some time ago to do this and I said yes for a number of reasons,” explains he 49-year-old star who is also famous for his eccentric personality.
Creative Director of The X Factor, confirmed that he has left the show after 9 years to enter the jungle, admitting that he wants to try something new:
“Something in me was itching to make a change,” explains Brian. “I have been doing it for nine years and when the offer came in, it was a matter of weighing up whether I wanted to go back and do my same old routine on The X Factor or do something different. I am always preaching to my students to face their fears and the unknown.”
“And now one of those challenges is standing right in front of me. I am walking into the unknown.
Former England football player Kieron Dyer is going in the jungle after his children kept begging him to be on I’m A Celebrity. And the kind-hearted star is donating his entire fee to the Jude Brady Foundation.
“I am very competitive. But I am not going on the show for money. My fee is going to a charity. I am doing this show for the charity and my children.”
Union J’s George Shelley has admitted that he excited about the potential of finding romance and life long friends in the jungle:
“I’ve been in a situation like this before with The X Factor. You are there for support and I do genuinely like people. I feel like I am going to glue to people and make a lot of new friends in the jungle.
Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter is hoping to take plenty of cold showers in the jungle as she promises to pack lots of sexy swimwear outfits that will get skimpier as the weeks go on.
“I do lots of squats at home,” explains the 27-year-old. “I don’t want to lose my bum in the jungle [from small rations]. I will carry some rocks in the jungle to avoid this!
Fashion guru Susannah has promised to definitely speak her mind whilst in the jungle, after finally giving into the many I’m A Celebrity requests:
“I have been asked to go on the show for many years”, says Susannah. “I always knew I would do it one day.
The main reason why I have said yes this year is the time is right. My children are old enough for me to be away for that long. Going on the show is going to be an amazing experience. I want to push myself physically and mentally.”
TV presenter Yvette Fielding has admitted she is afraid of everything which moves
“I am frightened and terrified of anything that moves,” she reveals. “But it’s an adventure of a lifetime and now I am sat in my jungle gear, I am beside myself with excitement. I can’t wait to get started. I am used to doing lots of spooky things but I don’t think I have experienced anything quite like this. I have also vowed to my family not to scream. Everyone sees me scream on Most Haunted. On I’m A Celebrity, I will not scream.
That is a promise!”
Lady Colin Campbell
Author and socialite Lady Colin Campbell admits her family were not too keen for her to enter the jungle, but reveals why she is excited about swapping her luxurious lifestyle for life in the jungle:
“I am doing it for selfish reasons. It will help with the roof at the castle and I want to lose weight. I’d actually like to lose a stone if possible.”
