The camp mates were having a general chat about chores.

“I’m finding being leader quite difficult because you have to make sure everyone is happy and at the same time make sure the camp is running smoothly. Everyone is a lot older than me and they get annoyed when I have to give out commands” said George.

“Can you establish from whoever, if this is their stuff and if it’s clean or dirty?” asked Lady C to George as she picked up some clothes.

“Lady C is supposed to be my deputy but she keeps giving me commands. I think she thinks her role is to tell me to tell campmates what to do and she’s not talking to Tony or anyone and going via me” said George.

George did as Lady C wished and told the camp “Can everyone just pick up their clothes because Lady C is getting stressed by it.”

“I understand his decision to make her deputy but at the same time I don’t know who is in charge” commented Vicky.

“I think the leader role with George is taking its toll as he doesn’t like telling people what to do” said Ferne.

Ferne and George went in the creek pool together and she asked him why he was so quiet. “I’ve no energy, I feel really low” said George.

“I’m so ready to go home now but I feel like I’m being ungrateful by saying that” said George.

“Do you feel like you want to leave?” asked Ferne.

George nods, “Don’t leave” said Ferne.

“Knowing everyone is leaving, if you’re going to be stuck here on Sunday with three other people. If I was stuck here with Lady C, Kieron and Chris though I’d be by myself because I’m not really…” said George.

“That’s not going to happen” said Ferne.

“George is having a bit of a down day bless him” said Ferne.

“When times are hard and you’re feeling down, think, you’re 22 years old, in an amazing successful boyband, how lucky are you? And it’s 5 days to go, you can do it” said Ferne.

“He tries to keep everyone happy and as I’ve learnt in here you canny not keep everyone happy” said Vicky.

“I think him and Jorgie were in a little squad with Brian, Yvette and Susannah, that was their crew and over the last few days we’ve seen Brian, Yvette and Susannah leave – it just leaves George and Jorgie on their own” said Vicky.

“This is the lowest I’ve seen George, I’m trying to be there for him” said Vicky.

George hugged Fern down by the creek pool, “I feel like I’ve hit a wall” he said.

Lady C saw George and asked him what was wrong, he said he was fine.

“I’ve just crossed paths with George who is distressed and I want to be in a position to assist him in any shape or form. He’s 22 years old and he’s not equipped to cope with some of the vicious things people have been saying in here” said Lady C.

In the Bush Telegraph George started to cry and was really upset. “I feel trapped, it’s weird” he said.

Later that evening Jorgie hugged George by the camp fire and they were enjoying trying to make each other laugh.

Ferne and George later chatted by the trees as he was feeling better.

“No one ever says to me you’re down (outside of the jungle), I’m always the life and soul, lifting people’s spirits, that’s what I like to do” said George.

“I thought I’d be like that in here” said George. “You are” shot back Ferne. “We just have moments that completely shovel over everything”.

“You seem so much better now, I feel better, I don’t want to be down, I want to be looking like I’m enjoying it, I am enjoying it” said George.

“I’m so glad you’re happier” said Ferne.
