Zayn Malik will be on The Graham Norton Show on the 29th of January, spilling the beans on his upcoming solo album.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Zayn complained about One Direction’s music and said he had no control over what – or how – they sang.

He also said he had “every intention” of remaining friends with his former bandmates, but it hasn’t quite worked out that way.

Also, he told The Fader in a recent interview why he had decided to quit the band:

“I guess I just wanted to go home from the beginning. I was always thinking it,” the singer admitted when explaining why he chose to leave One Direction.
“I just didn’t know when I was going to do it. Then by the time I decided to go, it just felt right on that day. I woke up on that morning, if I’m being completely honest with you, and was like, ‘I need to go home. I just need to be me now, because I’ve had enough.’ I was with my little cousin at the time—we were sat in the hotel room—and I was just, ‘Should I go home?’ And he was like, ‘If you want to go home, let’s go home.’ So we left.”

A few months ago, Zayn released a preview of his new single “Befour”, which has given fans a flavour of what to expect of the highly anticipated new solo album.

His appearance on The Graham Norton Show will air on January 29 at 10.35pm on BBC One.

Will Smith, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Toby Jones and Laura Mvula will join him.
