Prankster Lee Nelson auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent 2016 leaving the show’s crew red-faced they never picked up on the prank.
According to The Daily Star, comedian Simon Brodkin, known to many as ‘Lee Nelson’ fooled Britain’s Got Talent producers last week as he auditioned for the show.
Lee was popular with the judges and audience after rapping – Leaving the crew red-faced as they got pranked.
Eventually some crew members recognised the 38 year old prankster and warned producers they got conned.
A source said: “Lee’s rapping rabbi was the talk of the day’s auditions and had the whole crowd on their feet,
“Even Simon, who is hardly ever swayed by a joke act, was into it and all four judges gave him a ‘Yes’. I have no idea how someone as well-known as Lee slipped through the net.”
This isn’t the first time he’s embarrassed Simon Cowell as in 2014 Lee was dragged off The X Factor stage by security after invading Stereo Kicks performance.
A show spokesperson said: “No decisions on which acts will feature in the series will be taken until we have finished filming all of our auditions.”
Britain’s Got Talent returns later this year.
