Britain’s Got Talent: Amanda and Alesha will be returning in 2017!

Simon Cowell has confirmed Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon will be returning on the judging panel for Britain’s Got Talent 2017.

Simon tweeted on Thursday“Love my girls @AleshaOfficial @AmandaHolden so much that I just confirmed them both for next year. FYI follow them.”

Responding, Amanda wrote: “Ahh what a sweetie – love you too!!!”

Alesha added: “Awwww how sweet! Love you too @SimonCowell.

This comes not long after Amanda Holden claimed she would be bowing out of the show after the 10 year anniversary but as we have learnt from previous judges, nobody ever sticks to their word.

peaking late last year, Amanda confirmed her excitement about returning to the panel of the ITV show.

She said: “After a decade of searching for talent, the standard never fails to surprise us each year with the breadth and variety of acts out there just waiting to be discovered.

“Like every year I cannot wait to find out what the Great British public have in store for us and what act will surprise us the most.”

However, rather suspiciously, there has been no mention of David Walliams returning for another year on the judging panel.

Just last week a show insider was forced to deny a rift between the Little Britain star and head judge.

Responding to reports that crew members were taking bets on “whether he’ll throw in the towel or be given his marching orders,” the source said the dad-of-one’s job was safe.

They told The Sun: “David isn’t going anywhere.”

However, while filming the auditions for this year’s series, Walliams was left speechless after Cowell poked fun at him over his failed marriage in front of a packed BGT audience.

Britain’s Got Talent will be returning to our screens later this year.
