Amanda Holden has pressed her golden buzzer for WICKED singer Beau Dermott on Britain’s Got Talent 2016.
Britain’s Got Talent returned to our telly screens tonight and Amanda Holden was the first judge to press her golden buzzer this series.
Amanda pressed her golden buzzer for 13 year old Beau Dermott.
Beau has an ambition to perform on the West End and record her own music. She lives in Widnes with her parents, her brother Ben and their dog Bailey.
Beau sang Defying Gravity from Wicked and Amanda was seen getting goosebumps as the crowd went wild over the young singer’s performance.
Before her audition. Beau said: “I live at home with my mum, dad, brother, dog and rabbit. When I am on stage I feel like anything is possible and I can be myself. I am really nervous. I hope I can give a good performance.”
Her mum said: “At home she is really quiet so for her to get up on stage and sing is a big thing.”
When her performance was over, the judges gave their results after Amanda pressed her golden buzzer.
Amanda said: “You were so amazing! You are going to be brilliant. Well done! That is one of the most difficult songs to sing. You just sold it to us. I am absolutely thrilled.”
Since Amanda pressed her golden buzzer Beau now has a pass straight to the live shows.
