Britain’s Got Talent 2016: Alexandr Magala to be forced to quit the show?

Britain’s Got Talent sword swallowing contestant Alexandr Magala could be forced to quit the show.

UPDATE: Britain’s Got Talent 2016: Alexandr Magala legally allowed to take part in the show.

Britain’s Got Talent viewers saw daredevil Alexandr Magala swallow a sword while performing two heartstopping tricks on the launch show of the tenth series earlier this month.

One of his tricks consisted of him climbing up a tall pole and dropping all the way to the bottom head-first.

Alex left the auditions with four yeses from Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Holden.

The Sun reports that Alex is ineligible to be taking part in the ITV talent show after failing to secure necessary work permits which would allow him to take part.

The shows contact which every contestant must sign requires non-EU applicants need to apply for a full visa: “You must have the right to live and work in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Republic of Ireland and be able to demonstrate that you have this right on request by the Producer at any time.

“You also agree to notify the Producer immediately of any change to your immigration status.”

We’ve contacted Britain’s Got Talent for comment.
