Sheridan Smith ‘struggling with BAFTA loss’ pulls out of West End performance!

Sheridan Smith pulled out of her West End performance on Monday night, following her BAFTA loss.

Actress Sheridan Smith pulled out of Monday night’s performance of Funny Girl in the West End.

Sheridan lost out on a BAFTA award on Sunday with her BBC adaptation The C-Word in the ‘Best Single Drama’ Award cateory.

The C-Word lost out to Don’t Take My Baby.

The Savoy Theatre tweeted last night to say Sheridan has pulled out and will be replaced.

The tweet read: “Due to the indisposition of Sheridan Smith the role of Fanny Brice will be played by Natasha J Barnes at tonight’s performance of Funny Girl,”

One unhappy fan tweeted back saying: “”Indisposition” – can you elaborate? I’ve waited months for this birthday night out so would like a decent explanation.”
