Eurovision Song Contest favourite Russia has been caught up in a porn scandal as explicit pictures emerge of its contestant.

Russia’s entry Sergey Lazarev, 33, is one of the favourites to be crowned winner of this year’s Eurovision but pictures have emerged of a possible porn past – One picture obtained by The Sun newspaper is of him totally naked on a bed, holding a saw to the face of a woman handcuffed to a radiator.

Kremlin has dismissed claims Sergey has a secret porn past, insisting the pictures were part of a campaign to highlight issues with domestic violence.

It is reported that other nude pictures of Sergey have made their way onto gay porn websites. Apparently computer experts have been hired to wipe these pictures from the internet.

A source told The Sun : “The picture of the girl handcuffed was supposed to be arty and highlight domestic violence but it looks like they are glamorising it.

“Officials don’t want this photo getting out because it looks so weird and creepy and could scupper their bid.

“Russia has spent an absolute fortune on Sergey, it is really desperate to win this year. It has copied every winning formula to try to appeal to as much of Europe as possible.”

A spokesperson for Sergey told Metro: “We would like to underline that this photo shoot was made by a famous Russian photographer against domestic violence.

“Several Russian stars had similar artistic photo shooting for the exhibition ‘Stars against violence and rudeness’ that took place in 31/10/2008 and all money collected from the sales of these portraits went to the victims of the above mentioned cases.”
