James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff have announced that they’re set to divorce.
James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff thought to be one of the few strongest couples in Showbiz have announced a shock split.
The couple who have been together for nine years, revealed they’re set to divorce in a joint statement to People.
In the statement, they said: “It is with tremendous sadness that we have come to the decision to divorce.
“We enter this next phase with friendship, love and respect for one another and the shared focus of caring for our son.”
They concluded: “We ask that you respect our and, most importantly, our child’s privacy during this time.”
The pair got together after meeting on the set of TV show Shameless, they then went on to do Hollywood movies such as X-Men: Apocalypse and Anne-Marie starred in Suffragette.
They got married in 2006 and Anne-Marie gave birth to their son, Brendan, in 2010.
