Britain’s Got Talent managed to beat Eurovision in the annual ratings war – But the ITV talent show saw a drop in viewers.
ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent clashed with BBC’s Eurovision last night from 8pm – Who won the ratings war? BGT did, only just.
An average audience of 7.8 million viewers tuned in to watch ITV’s talent show last night, the sixth BGT episode saw a peak audience of 8.8 million.
BGT was down one million viewers from last week’s viewing figures, 8.7 million tuned in last Saturday.
Eurovision on BBC One saw an average audience of 7.2 million from 8pm to it’s results at 11:30PM.
A peak audience of 8.3 million tuned in for the results at 11:30pm.
Joe Woolford, 21 from Ruthin in Wales and Jake Shakeshaft, 20 from Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire represented the UK last night and recieved 62 points overall, last year we only received 5 points overall.
Britain’s Got Talent returns next weekend on ITV with the first semi live show.
