Drayton Manor Go Onesie Crazy!

Onesie fever is set to sweep over Drayton Manor Theme Park, near Tamworth in Staffordshire, later this month as it attempts to set a new world record for the most number of people wearing the popular garments gathered in any one place.BRITAIN - DRAYTON MANOR

The trendy jumpsuit has become the item to be seen in, with celebrities such as Rylan Clark and the cast of TOWIE showing off their most outrageous outfits.

A minimum of 623 participants will be needed to don the all-in-one outfits in order to set a new record. This will be the first year that Drayton Manor has attempted this record and they are encouraging all onesie owners to come and take part.

As part of the record attempt, taking place at 12pm on Saturday 20th April, the park will allow anyone sporting a blue, red or yellow all-in-one outfit to pay just £5 entry into the theme park and all other one-piece wearers pay only £10.

Following the record attempt, wearers of the 2013 fashion must-have will be able to spend the rest of the day in the park enjoying all the rides and attractions Drayton Manor has to offer, such as the adrenaline-inducing drop-tower, Apocalypse, Stand-Up coaster, Shockwave, the splash-tastic log flume, Stormforce 10, and stomach-churning gyro-swing, Maelstrom.

Colin Bryan, the park’€™s managing director, said:

As part of the ‘onesie phenomenon†we are attempting to set a new world record for most onesie wearers at the park. I would encourage everyone to come together, show off their very best onesie patterns and be part of something big at Drayton Manor.€
