Jack Black was pictured earlier today with producer Diplo, hours before he ‘died’ according to the official Tenacious D Twitter account.
Fans have been in chaos today, and left confused following a series of tweets from the official Tenacious D Twitter account, it claims Jack Black died at 3:17am today.
But around a similar time of his apparent death, he appeared on a SnapChat story with US producer Diplo.
The picture taken from SnapChat has a ‘9 hours ago’ stamp, so it was taken around 11:30am GMT time.
If the tweets are real and not hacked on the Tenacious D account, it appears his death happened around the time the SnapChat picture was taken.
The band’s official Twitter account posted a tribute to the School Of Rock star today (5th June).
It’s unclear if the actually band tweeted these tweets or if it was a hacker.
The tweets read: “I’m sad to officially annouce the death of Jack Black at the age of 46, rest in peace brother.”
“It is with a heavy heart I am to announce that Jack Black passed away last night at 3:37am. The cause of death is yet unknown.”
The 46 year-old has been a victim of celebrity death hoaxes in the past, a recent one appeared on a Facebook tribute page which said he died in New Zealand.
Jack’s rep said yesterday (4th June): “He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimised by this hoax. He’s still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet,” according to MediaMass.
