Jack Black is not dead – The official Tenacious D Twitter account was hacked, the hacker claims it was a ‘prank’.
Hours after the the official Tenacious D Twitter account said Jack Black was dead, it’s been confirmed the account was hacked.
The hacker tweeted the 46 year-old actor was still alive: “Calm down guys! It’s just a prank bro, look there’s the camera…
“The Legend is still alive, it is ok guys :)”
The ‘prank’ was tweeted by the actor himself, or bandmate Kyle Gass.
The hack was confirmed by Guitarist John Konesky, he told fans: “Twitter feed was hacked. Than s*** ain’t true! They’re working on fixing it!”

Fans have been in chaos today, and left confused following a series of tweets from the official Tenacious D Twitter account, it claims Jack Black died at 3:17am today.
But around a similar time of his apparent death, he appeared on a SnapChat story with US producer Diplo.
The picture taken from SnapChat has a ‘9 hours ago’ stamp, so it was taken around 11:30am GMT time.
It’s now been confirmed Jack Black is not dead.
The band’s official Twitter account posted a tribute to the School Of Rock star today (5th June).
The tweets read: “I’m sad to officially annouce the death of Jack Black at the age of 46, rest in peace brother.”
“It is with a heavy heart I am to announce that Jack Black passed away last night at 3:37am. The cause of death is yet unknown.”
The 46 year-old has been a victim of celebrity death hoaxes in the past, a recent one appeared on a Facebook tribute page which said he died in New Zealand.
