Singer Phil Collins has been tipped to join The Voice UK 2017 coaching panel on ITV.
The Voice UK was axed by the BBC earlier this year, ITV has now taken the licence and is prepared to spend a lot to make the show a hit again.
Phil Collins is tipped for a spot on The Voice UK’s new coaching panel.
A source told The Sun: “They’re looking at how popular The Voice is in the States and how a mix of rock, pop, country, veteran and current artist coaches have been a hit with viewers. They plan to make a considerable offer to Phil.
“They’re well aware of his health issues so there will be extra budget set aside to make sure he is comfortable if he is prepared to relocate temporarily to London for the job.
They added: “He’ll have a dressing room to rival Simon Cowell’s, if that’s what he wants.”
It’s been reported that Ricky Wilson and Paloma Faith have told ITV they won’t be returning.
Jess Glynne and Kylie have also turned down offers by the broadcaster to join the panel.
ITV have been trying – Sir Paul McCartney and Take That singer Gary Barlow have also returned down offers.
Speaking about her return, Emma said: “The Voice UK is very close to my heart and I’m absolutely delighted to be back on the show. Roll on the blind auditions!”
