Gogglebox producers worried cast could destroy the show being ‘fame hungry’!

Gogglebox producers are worried that the show could flop as the cast may become ‘fame hungry’.

The Moffatts

Gogglebox producers are said to be clamping down on the cast featuring in the show from becoming fame hungry celebrities.

Producers feel if the cast turned into celebs the ratings for the show will fall.

Ratings have jumped to an impressive 4.3 million and according The Sun producers are worried if the cast become celebrities the show will ‘loose it’s appeal’.

A source told the paper: “The cast are the hottest things around right now and brands are offering big money to snap them up for other TV projects and endorsements – but Channel Four bosses fear the more they’re seen, the less appeal the show will have.

“There have been discussions amongst the cast about negotiating any contracts ahead of the next series with what they can and can’t do.”

Apparently I’m A Celebrity bosses are desperate to sign Scarlett Moffatt up to the next series, which starts at the end of the year.

An inside source said: “Scarlett is one of the most sought-after names in TV right now. Producers and casting directors have cottoned on to how popular she is.”

Although a rep for the show denied the rumour, saying: “Scarlett is not taking part in I’m A Celebrity and will continue to entertain Gogglebox fans from her sofa.”
