X Factor 2016: Honey G has been eliminated from the competiton!

Honey G has been eliminated from The X Factor 2016 after failing to secure public votes.

After eight weeks on the X Factor and huge controversy following, Honey G has been eliminated from the competition.

Following a sing-off with 5 After Midnight, Honey G was voted by the judges to leave the competition.

During the results show tonight Sharon begged viewers at home to vote for Honey G, she said: “Because she is unique and why not? She is unique and different and talented in a different way to the other singers.

“Against all odds Honey has been here week after week, it is her eighth week. She is here and she is a fighter and she wants this so bad.

“I think she has the edge in this. I am sending home 5 After Midnight.”

Simon Cowell had the final say on the judging panel tonight, voting home Honey, he said: “I have to do what I think the public would expect me to do in this position. The act I’m sending home is Honey G.”

The X Factor continues next weekend on ITV.
