I’m A Celebrity 2016: Scarlett Moffatt is crowned Queen of the Jungle!

Scarlett Moffatt has been crowned Queen of the I’m A Celebrity 2016 jungle, with Joel Dommett finishing as runner up.

10 celebrities first entered the camp three weeks ago, Larry Lamb, Adam Thomas, Joel Dommett, Scarlett Moffatt, Sam Quek, Jordan Banjo, Carol Vorderman, Wayne Bridge, Lisa Snowdon, Ola Jordan. These 10 campmates were then joined by Danny Baker and Martin Roberts completing the I’m A Celebrity 2016 lineup.

This series has seen an almost harmonious camp, with the group bonding from the start. Not only this, but they have also been one of the best fed camps to date, with most trials finishing with all stars won.

After 3 weeks in the jungle, the starting 12 have been whittled down to just three finalists, Joel Dommett, Scarlett Moffatt and Adam Thomas.

During tonight’s show, the three finalists each had to complete their own bush tucker trial in order to win their chosen meal for their final night in the jungle.

First up was Adam who was playing for the celebrity’s starters as well as Adam’s own drink and treat. In order to win these rewards, he had to withstand 5 minutes in the traditional helmet trial, with a helmet full of critters. To make it even worse, spiders were added to his helmet, Adam’s greatest fear. However, once again, Adam proved he is ‘Mr Bushtucker trial’ and won all 5 stars.

Next was Joel who was playing the 3 main courses, his own treat and his own drink. In order to win these rewards, he had to eat a selection of some of the jungle’s worst critters and animal parts including eyes and a goat’s penis. Once again, Joel impressed and ate everything put in front of him, winning all 5 stars.

Finally, Scarlett joined Ant and Dec in the bush tucker trial clearing, playing the Cabin of Claws. Scarlett was playing for the group’s desserts, her own treat and her own drink. In order to win these she had go into a coffin and search for stars in various holes in the cabin. But obviously she wasn’t alone and was joined by many jungle critters including rats.  And of course, Scarlett did not disappoint and won all 5 stars, in a record time.

Ant and Dec then made their way into camp in order to announce that Adam had finished in third place, leaving Scarlett and Joel to battle it out for the crown.

“It’s been a lot tougher than I expected, at the beginning I found it really tough but I can’t believe that I made it to the final 3.”

Joel and Scarlett then joined Ant and Dec for their interview:

Joel said: “I knew it was going to be a good experience but I didn’t know how much of a good experience. I’m going to miss the simplicity of it, without the media and social media.”

“The first was definitely the hardest, I took two steps in and that was the closest I came in the whole series to saying I’m A Celebrity get me out of here.”

Scarlett said: “I wish I could do it all again, it was just amazing, it was unreal. It had exceeded my expectations beyond anything I ever thought, I have never been as happy.”

Finally, it was time to announce the winner of I’m A Celebrity 2016 and Scarlett was crowned Queen of the jungle.

Congratulations Scarlett!
