Could Scarlett Moffatt be the host of Channel 4’s Great British Bake Off?!

Reports suggest that Scarlett Moffatt is lined up to be the host of the new Great British Bake Off on Channel 4.

Since being crowned Queen of the I’m A Celebrity 2016 jungle, Scarlett has been the desire of many channels, with Great British Bake Off being the latest show for Scarlett to be associated with.

This comes after The Great British Bake Off moved to Channel 4, causing the resignation of judge Merry Berry and presenters Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc.

According to the Daily Mirror Newspaper, Channel 4 are desperate to get Scarlett Moffatt to replace Mel and Sue as the presenter of the Great British Bake Off.

A source told the tabloid: “Scarlett is now a serious contender – she opened a lot of eyes to her potential on I’m a Celebrity.

“She is young, very funny and just the type of presenter Channel 4 are looking for to front their version of the show. Scarlett may be inexperienced but the thinking is she could be paired with a more senior co-host.”

However, Channel 4 will not have it easy as many other channels are also desperate to get Scarlett on their shows.

“Her down-to-earth attitude and quirky sense of humour really won over viewers of I’m A Celebrity,” a source said previously. “Channel 4 and ITV are both interested in signing her up exclusively for their channels

The insider claimed to The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “There has even been talk of her fronting her own TV show.

“Scarlett will be ecstatic. She went into the jungle in the hope that it would lead to TV work.

“This is her chance to go from someone known for watching TV on her sofa to someone known for being on TV in her own right.”

However, don’t get too excited as the Great British Bake Off is not set to begin on Channel 4 until 2018, due to contract issues.
