Sherlock is set to return on New Year’s Day with the start of its fourth series – Actor Mark Gatiss has spoken about the future of the show.
Although the fourth season hasn’t started yet, Mark Gatiss has spoken to TVLine about the Season 4 finale, titled ‘The Final Problem’.
Does the finale title hint at the end for Sherlock?
Mark hasn’t ruled out a return of the hit show: “We honestly don’t know [If this season will be the last,
He added: “These three [episodes], we’re very, very pleased with them. And everybody’s very keen to carry on. It’s just genuinely difficult to schedule everyone’s diaries. It was a nightmare to schedule this season… and that’s not going to go away.
“I mean, the success of ‘Doctor Strange’ is not going to make Benedict [Cumberbatch] short of work”.
Sherlock returns to BBC One at 8:30pm on 1st January 2017.
