Honey G’s debut single, The Honey G Show, has turned out to be a massive chart flop, only managing to reach number 140 in the Official Charts.
Honey G’s debut single was released last Friday and experienced an initial surge in the charts, reaching number 10 in the charts.
However, this initial surge represented superficial success, as the song began to drop down the charts, plummeting to number 140 in the official charts.
This could potentially represent the end of Honey G’s rap career as her record deal with Simon Cowell’s record label Syco was only a single deal and the success of the single would determine whether an album deal would follow.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Honey G said”What I want to do is negotiate a deal. We want to make it happen.”
“I don’t think there is a specific timescale – I think they are allowed to make two singles with me, and then if they make a third, they have to make an album.”
In other chart news, Little Mix’s new album Glory Days reached number 1 on the Official Album Charts.
Meanwhile, Clean Bandit continue their chart reign with Rockabye and hold on to their number one spot for another week running.
