One celebrity has reportedly already been axed from the Celebrity Big Brother 2017 lineup.
Celebrity Big Brother 2017 is set to launch Tuesday 3rd January – With the launch so close Channel 5 cannot afford for celebrities to drop out or be axed.
According to reports, Jasmine Lennard has apparently been axed from the lineup after Big Brother bosses discovered ‘offensive comments she made on social media’.
Jasmine who first appeared on Big Brother back in 2012 as well as the 2015 series, was expected to be part of Celebrity Big Brother 2017 – All Stars series.
A source told The Sun: “Jasmine [Lennard] is fuming after being dropped for the upcoming series of CBB,”
Big Brother bosses have replaced Lennard with another former housemate, Jasmine Waltz.
Sources reveal that Lennard is “locked in a legal battle” with Big Brother producers as she’s already signed the contract to star in the series.
She reportedly made “Islamaphobic” and “transphobic” comments on her social media pages.
An insider revealed: “Big Brother bosses were desperate to sign Jasmine and spent months courting her and upped their initial financial offer significantly,
“Finally she accepted their offer and was given the details about filming but then Big Brother did a complete 180 and said the offer was being retracted due to Islamaphobic and transphobic remarks.
“They’ve been asked countless times to clarify what exactly the remarks are but have refused.”
The insider added: “The show is locked in a legal battle with Jasmine who feels they are using the remarks as a scapegoat for another reason and that they should honour their agreement and pay the money.”
