Derren Brown and Thorpe Park Resort have unveiled a new destination to Derren Brown’s Ghost Train.
Derren Brown’s Ghost Train Rise of the Demon is a deeper, darker, more intense journey for 2017.
Last year Thorpe Park Resort launched Derren Brown’s Ghost Train, but this year a deleted scene that was not signed off in year one due to fears that guests would find the content too intense has been resurrected following guests’ feedback for more scare at the end of 2016.
The ground-breaking psychological attraction, which launched in 2016, merged five experiences: grand illusion, live action, Virtual Reality, special effects and movement. The smart ride was purpose built for updates, meaning the experience can continuously be upgraded and changed via the VR.
For year two Derren Brown and the creative team have identified an opportunity to heighten the realism of the VR experience via leveraging the behavior of guests on the ride.
Derren Brown’s Ghost Train service has undergone a terrifying transformation for a new season of exhilarating fun at the nation’s top thrill park.
The resort is home to the UK’s first winged rollercoaster THE SWARM; SAW–The Ride, the world’s first horror movie themed rollercoaster; STEALTH, one of Europe’s fastest and tallest roller coasters and COLOSSUS, the world’s first ten inversion rollercoaster.
