X Factor’s Honey G has been reportedly dropped by Simon Cowell’s Syco record label, unsurprisingly.
Simon Cowell has dropped X Factor’s Honey G from his Syco record label.
Despite not winning The X Factor Simon Cowell decided to sign Honey G, for reasons unknown. Now it’s been revealed that the rapper won’t release any more songs or an album via Syco.
Nothing is stopping her releasing tracks by herself, which is exactly what she’s doing.
Honey G’s debut single ‘The Honey G Show’ hit the official charts at Number 149.
The rapper is now launching her own record label without the help from Simon, The Sun reports.
She told the paper: “My own record label will be representing real rap and hip-hop music. Obviously making it as a global rap star is still my dream.
“I have a 2:1 BA in popular music and recording, specialising in music technology and studio production.”
Obviously music isn’t going that well for Honey G, so what about TV? Earlier last year she revealed Reality TV isn’t her thing: “I want to perform globally, release and sell millions of records, and reality TV is not for me, I’m afraid.
“Big Brother, or the jungle, it’s not for me.”
So only time will tell if Honey G’s own label will succeed or fail – But we already know the answer, right?
