Britain’s Got Talent 2017 live shows might have a golden buzzer twist!

Britain’s Got Talent may have a new twist for the live shows and it involves the golden buzzer.

Simon Cowell is reportedly thinking about a new twist for the Britain’s Got Talent 2017 live shows.

Currently the BGT judges are allowed one use of the Golden Buzzer, they’re allowed to press it for a contestant they’d like to send through to the semi-finals.

Simon Cowell and BGT producers are considering bringing the golden buzzer to the semi-finals as well – Meaning that Ant and Dec, along with the judges can send a contestant through to the live final.

Voting will stay the same as usual for the remaining acts, with the most popular contestants making it to the final.

A source told The Mirror: “The golden buzzer is one of the favourite elements in the audition shows.

“The atmosphere when it is pressed is incredible. This will give the judges and Ant and Dec the chance to guarantee their favourite acts get a spot in the final.”

“Producers believe it would make the five, live semis even more exciting.”

The Britain’s Got Talent 2017 live shows are expected to start at the end of May.

Britain’s Got Talent continues this Saturday on ITV.
