In tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent show judge and boss Simon Cowell suggested a father and daughter duo should split.
Martin,47, and Faye, 10, are a father and daughter singing duo from Cheshire, and their audition was shown in tonight’s BGT.
Martin is a full-time performer, while Faye started signing just over a year ago.
Martin explained how the act came together before their audition, he said: “We just found out Faye can sing, so we thought we’d have a go.”
Martin has been ‘singing since he can remember’ – The family duo sung Celine Dion and Andrea Bocellis’ ‘The Prayer’.
After their stunning audition, Simon Cowell suggested the duo should split up although he liked them both individually.
“Faye, you started off the better. Martin, you were good on the first chorus. I’m slightly confused,” Simon said.
“I don’t know if it’s the right thing or the wrong thing that you two are still singing together.”
Martin responded: “If you put her through, I’ll go.”
However… Boss Simon said: “No, I don’t want to get rid of either of you.
“I just wonder if it’s the right thing for both of you.”
Simon changed his mind and gave the duo a yes – So did David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.
Martin and Faye walked away with four yeses.
Britain’s Got Talent returns next weekend on ITV.
