When the Britain’s Got Talent judges all buzzed Mal Ford off the stage, he refused to leave and eventually won them over.
Mal Ford is one of the select highlights from tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent show – He eventually won the judges over, but that’s after receiving four buzzers.
Mal Ford is a 74 year old singer and entertainer from Blackpool.
After being part of a band and backing singer in the 60s, Mal spent many years managing artists and travelling the world, but has now retired.
Mal is hoping that BGT will be his time to shine, he told Ant and Dec before his audition: “I’m originally from Birmingham, but for the last 25 years i’ve been living in Blackpool.
“It’s great!” he added.
Speaking about why he auditioned for BGT, Mal told the judges it wasn’t about the prize money: “I’d like to meet the Royal Family, to be truthful.
“I think The Queen is brilliant.”
Although the judges initially buzzed him, Ant and Dec joined Mal on stage and they all perform Blackpool Bell together.
Mal’s second song was a success with the judges and he left the show with four yeses, surprisingly.
Britain’s Got Talent continues next weekend on ITV.
