Manchester attack survivors will join Ariana Grande on stage this Sunday during her benefit concert, according to reports.
Young survivors who were at the terror attack at Ariana Grande’s Manchester concert last Monday will reportedly join her on stage this weekend in the city.
It’s being reported that a group of children who were at Ariana’s gig in Manchester when the awful attack happened that killed 22 people, will join the singer on stage during Sunday’s benefit concert.
Suicide bomber Salman Abedi killed 22 people last Monday in the city.
Youngsters will sing with Ariana onstage at Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground.
A group of 24 pupils from Parr Wood High School’s Harmony Choir will sing with Ariana, teacher Daniel McDwyer, 24, told The Times: “So so proud! Love you Manchester. Going to be such a beautiful tribute.”
One of the school’s students, Shaunna Burns, 17, was at the concert with three friends when the attack happened, she told the paper: “It’s so surreal. You do not think one second you are going to see a performer and then the next be on stage with her.”
Some of the planet’s biggest and best pop stars are heading to Manchester for a benefit concert which is expected to raise at least £2m for the victims of the Manchester Arena terror attack and the families who were affected.
Ariana Grande will play the special concert at Emirates Old Trafford as well as Coldplay, Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas, Take That, Justin Bieber, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Niall Horan from One Direction, Little Mix and Robbie Williams.
More names are expected to be announced in due course.
Proceeds from the benefit concert will go to an emergency fund set up by the city of Manchester and the British Red Cross. Tickets when onsale Thursday morning, and sold out in 6 minutes.
The venue has a 50,000 capacity and the gig will be live broadcasted on BBC TV and radio, so don’t be sad if you missed out on tickets.
