Britain’s Got Talent 2017: Meet your finalists!


The Britain’s Got Talent 2017 Final airs Saturday night on ITV, meet this year’s finalists.

After five nights of live shows and 40 semi-final performances the public have now chosen the 10 acts who will perform in tomorrow night’s live final and in for a chance of winning a life-changing £250,000 and a coveted spot at the Royal Variety Performance.

The 10 finalists will be joined by one judges’ wildcard who will be announced in the show tomorrow.

Following tonight’s show Daliso Chaponda and Missing People Choir joined the rest of the finalists – DNA, Kyle Tomlinson, Issy Simpson, Matt Edwards, Tokio Myers, Ned Woodman, MerseyGirls and Pensionalities.

Here’s a breakdown of the Britain’s Got Talent 2017 finalists:

MERSEYGIRLS (Dancers): Alesha’s golden buzzer MerseyGirls made a triumphant return to the stage for their semi-final performance with a powerful and emotional dance to ‘Rise Up’ by Andra Day.

DALISO CHAPONDA (Comedian): Amanda’s golden buzzer Daliso is a 37-year-old comedian from Malawi, living in Manchester who returned to the live semi-final with a host of new jokes to wow the judges.

MATT EDWARDS (Magician): Ant & Dec’s golden buzzer Matt is a 34-year-old comedy magician from Suffolk. Matt returned to the stage for his live semi-final performance and impressed the judges and audiences at home alike by getting Ant on stage to help with his act.

KYLE TOMLINSON (Singer): David’s golden buzzer Kyle is a 15 year old student who dreams of one day performing on Broadway. Kyle went on to perform a beautiful rendition of Adele’s ‘When We Were Young’ during the semis.

DNA (Magicians): Andrew (43) from London and Darren (29) from Essex are a double act of mind readers. They have been performing together for four years after meeting at an event. The mind reading trick they performed on the judges in their semi-final completely blew them and the audience away.

ISSY SIMPSON (Magician): Issy is an eight-year-old schoolgirl from Blackpool, where she lives with her parents and younger brother. Issy loves Harry Potter, especially Hermione Granger, and her magic trick in the semi-final put a spell on the judges and won her the public vote.

MISSING PEOPLE CHOIR (Choir, Various): Missing People Choir is a community choir of people, whose loved ones have been missing. Their emotional semi-final performance saw them sing, ‘Wings’ by Birdy. Their goal is to raise awareness of the charity, share the message and support others out there who also have missing loved ones.

NED WOODMAN (Comedian): Ned is an nine year-old primary schoolboy from Maidstone, Kent. Ned loves making people laugh and has been performing comedy routines since he was six-years-old. In his semi-final Ned encouraged the audience and the judges to “stay savage”, while teasing OBE ‘old, boring entertainers’ Ant & Dec.

THE PENSIONALITIES (Singers): Henry (84) and Malcolm (75) won the nations hearts as they put a golden age spin on One Direction’s ‘History’ in the semi-final. They are best friends from Doncaster who perform together as a duet. They’re both retired and have been singing together for around four years.

TOKIO MYERS (Pianist): Tokio is a 32 year old pianist from London. He grew up on a rough estate and started playing piano when he was nine and now wants to inspire young kids from rougher areas to follow their dreams. During his semi-final performance, Tokio impressed the judges and won the public vote with a classical original song combined with a modern twist including songs by Jay Z and Rihanna.

Britain’s Got Talent Final airs on Saturday 3rd June 7.30pm on ITV.
