Love Island 2017 SPOILERS: Islanders Montana and Jessica have ‘secret history’ together!

In tonight’s first Love Island 2017 launch show two islanders find out they’ve dated the same guy.

As all of the islanders settled into the villa, Montana had a surprise admission when she revealed it’s not the first time she’s seen Jessica – in fact both of them have dated the same man…

Gathering some of the islanders in the bedroom, she confessed: “I went out with this guy. Basically I think he was seeing us at the same time. But I don’t know if she knows. I don’t think she does know it’s me, that’s the thing. I was pretty chilled about the situation, it didn’t work. I Instagrammed her. When I saw her I was like ‘I recognise her from somewhere, and then it clicked.”

With the pair’s secret connection playing on her mind, Montana mulled over whether it was worth bringing up during a conversation in the Beach Hut. “I’m not sure if now’s the best time for me to speak to her about it. I don’t really want to bring up that me and her saw the same guy around the same time.”

But it quickly transpired that Jessica has also clocked her history with Montana: “As soon as I saw Montana I recognised her and I was like ‘oh my God, as if.’ Of all the people in the world, me and her are in here together.”

The pair later discussed their past face to face, during a candid conversation on the sun beds.

Montana reveals: “I was just realising he was being really shady with pictures and I was thinking ‘that’s weird.’ I called him out on it.”

Jessica retorts: “We must have both kicked off at the same time.”

Montana: “It was on the last night and I was like ‘I don’t know about you but we just didn’t really get along.. And then he just goes ‘yeah, well I have been seeing some girl anyway’ and I was like ‘what?”

Jessica: “That would have totally been me.”

Montana: “Yeah it was.”

Jessica: “I followed you on Instagram because I was like ‘I need to stalk this girl.’

Montana: “He was definitely overlapping.”

Jessica: “100%.”

In the Beach Hut, Montana admitted the pair’s conversation had been enlightening: “Jess knew, and I didn’t realise that she knew but she was like ‘I didn’t know if you knew’ so it was kind of one of those miscommunications. I think I was the side chick. I didn’t want to be the side chick but obviously I was. Hey ho.”

Meanwhile, Jessica was uncertain of her feelings towards Montana, as she admitted Montana’s revelations were a little more than she was expecting to hear: “It’s good talking to her about it because it’s nice to see her point of view but at the same time it’s a bit of a revelation because I didn’t realise they were properly dating.

“Part of me is like ‘I got there first with this guy that me and Montana were both sort of texting at the same time.’ I know I was there first. So part of me does think ‘I was there first and you sort of got in the way’ so I don’t know how vindictive I’m feeling yet. I feel like I owe her no loyalties.”

Is this the start of the first Love Island feud? Love Island returns this evening on ITV2 at 9pm.
