Simon Cowell has revealed he’s in the process of creating a charity single in aid of the Grenfell Tower fire victims.
The song will be a cover of Simon & Garfunkels emotional single, ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’.
Simon confirmed One Direction star Liam Payne, The Who, Emeli Sande, Louisa Johnson, Craig David, James Arthur, plus London rappers Skepta and Stormzy will feature and is hopeful of adding more names ahead of the recording on Sunday, adding: “Until that last note has been finished, we will not be off the phone.”
Simon said: “We started 24 hours ago and already we’re getting calls coming in, mainly from Brits’.
ITV have pledged to show the video on Prime Time when it is released next week.
On Friday, police confirmed at least 30 people had died in the Wednesday’s fire tragedy – Many more are still unaccounted for.
Firefighters are still continuing to search the 24-storey west London tower block.
