Celebrity Big Brother 2017: Everything you need to know about the new series!

Below is everything you need to know about the new series of Celebrity Big Brother, including start date and line-up.

When does it start?

The launch night of Celebrity Big Brother commences tomorrow, August 1, on Channel 5, at 9:05pm.

Who is going in?

The full line-up of housemates has been ‘revealed’ but is yet to be officially confirmed by Channel 5. However, the picture clues given on the latest Celebrity Big Brother trailer are pretty strong confirmation that these celebrities will be entering the house tomorrow night.

Sarah Harding

According to reports, Girls Aloud star, Sarah Harding, will be entering the house. With over 20 top ten hits, Sarah Harding is no stranger to success and fame but has recently taken a break from the lime-light, committing herself to a low key lifestyle.

Yet, it appears her former band member, Cheryl Tweedy is not supportive of her decision to enter the house, demonstrating her feelings by unfollowing Sarah on Social Media.

A source told The Mirror: “Cheryl isn’t very happy at the prospect of Sarah going on CBB. She’s worried that Sarah can be a bit unpredictable at times and is concerned about what she might say about her.”

Shaun Williamson

EastEnders legend, Shaun Williamson, is set to enter the Celebrity Big Brother House. His chances of winning are already extremely high after playing Barry on EastEnders for 20 years which secured his place in the nation’s heart.

Without a doubt Shaun will take the father role inside the house, propelling his chances of winning even higher.

Jemma Lucy

Ex on the Beach Star, Jemma, promises to add a bit of excitement to this year’s house as she is known for her on-screen and off-screen squabbles.

She has previously dated former Celebrity Big Brother housemate, Stephen Bear, and ex-Geordie Shore star Chantelle Connelly and rose to fame when she became an international tattoo model.

Derek Acorah

Derek Acorah’s entry into the Celebrity Big Brother house marks the first psychic housemate, featuring on the paranormal show Most Haunted from 2001 to 2005.

But of course, as a potential CBB housemate, Derek has previously been involved in controversial scandals including his claim that he contacted missing Madeleine McCann, who he claimed had died several months before he contacted her.

Amelia Lily

Amelia Lily came third on The X Factor in 2011, finishing behind Marcus Collins and pop sensations, Little Mix.

Since then Amelia Lily has been rather quiet, featuring in a few West End shows after her last single was released in 2014.

Paul Danan

Danan is best known for his portrayal of Sol Patrick on Channel 4’s Hollyoaks for four years. After his departure from Hollyoaks, he moved to America in an attempt to break the movie scene. Despite his best attempts, his success was limited and he has since moved back to the UK to settle down with his family.

We can expect many fall outs with Paul in the house as demonstrated during his time on Celebrity Love Island in 2005 where he famously had to be removed from the villa by security guards.

Jordan Davies

Hottie Jordan has starred on three series’ of Ex on the Beach as well as frequently being filmed partying abroad on Magaluf Weekender and Ibiza Weekender.

During his time on Ex on the Beach, he was one half of the power couple ‘Jegan’ with Megan McKenna, who he proposed to on the last episode of the series. However, the couple did not last long as they split a few months after their engagement.

Helen Lederer

Absolutely Fabulous star is set to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house and promises to add a sense of humour to the house after being a stand up comedian since the 1980s.

She has recently took to writing, releasing her first book Losing It in 2015 and her most recent reality television appearance was on Tom Daley’s Splash in 2013.

Dawn Ward

Dawn has starred in Real Housewives of Cheshire since January 2015 and is sure to add an element of class and glamour to the house this year. She is married to retired footballer, Ashley Ward and they have four daughters together.

Oh, and one more thing, she was found guilty of assaulting Sinitta in 2016 and it is rumoured that Dawn’s confirmation in this year’s line-up is one of the reasons Sinitta quit the series this year.

Brandi Glanville

American Brandi rose to fame through her modelling career which started when she was 16 years old. Since then, she has become a Tabloid staple after appearing on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and placed fourth place on Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice.

She is sure to bring drama to the CBB house as she demonstrated by her reaction to her husband’s affair, which dramatically ended her marriage to Eddie Cibrian in 2010.

Chad Johnson

Chad was given the nickname of Bad Chad during his run of last year’s The Bachelorette for his bad boy behaviour.

But it could be worse- at least he’ll provide a bit of eye candy for us viewers this year.

Trisha Paytas

Admittedly, Trisha is not the most famous name on the CBB line-up this year, but we think she has potential to be a great housemate. She is best known for her YouTube Channel bindsundoll4mj, which is dedicated to fashion and beauty tips. However, she also has a talent for singing and has released 5 EPs, making a mark with her latest EP Daddy Issues in 2016.

Sam Thompson

Sam Thompson joined the Made in Chelsea cast for series 6 and has since become one of the main personalities on the show, mainly because of his eventful relationship with cast member Tiffany Watson. The couple are now taking a break so could suggest that Sam will be looking to enjoy his new found freedom whilst in the house.

Marissa Jade

The 32-year-old is best known for starring in US reality TV show Mob Wives and has also appeared on Gossip Girl and Christmas film Elf!

She is also known for her modelling work, particularly her raunchy shoot for Playboy but has recently shied away from the limelight to look after her young son.

Sandi Bogle

All TV addicts will recognise 51 year-old Sandi from hit TV show Gogglebox, who has starred alongside Sandra Martin since the show started in 2013. She has since attempted to break the music scene with an EP released in 2016 but this failed to propel her to stardom, and now hopes that CBB can do this for her.

Rosanna Davison

Rosanna has many talents and attributes to her name, she rose to fame after winning Miss World in 2003, the first Irish entrant to win the competition. The daughter of Chris de Burgh is the author of Eat Yourself Fit and Eat Yourself Beautiful and is also a nutritional therapist.
