I’m A Celebrity bosses are worried the show could be a washout as 170mph storms ‘leave the camp at risk’.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! returns in a few weeks, but ITV bosses are worried the camp is “at risk of a washout” after warnings of 170mph tropical cyclones.
The ITV reality show returns 2 weeks later than usual but if the Australian cyclone season starts early this year’s show could be a huge washout.
The new series is due to begin November 19, but according to the Daily Star, forecasters in the camp area are “warning Australia will be hit by a string of major storms” around launch date for the new series.
AccuWeather’s Jason Nicholls told the paper: “An early start to the season is expected with a named cyclone forming before the end of December.”
An ITV spokesperson had no further comments when contacted.
Scarlett Moffatt, the new face of the I’m A Celebrity spin-off show on ITV2, has also confirmed that Ant McPartlin will return to the jungle this year.
Famous duo Ant and Dec have fronted I’m A Celebrity since the very beginning in 2002.
