Aston Merrygold has been voted out of Strictly Come Dancing 2017 and viewers have branded the show as ‘fixed’.
Aston Merrygold was voted out of Strictly Come Dancing in one of the biggest shock result nights the show has recently faced.
Fans of Strictly have branded Sunday’s show a ‘fixed’ accusing the judges of “manipulating the vote”.
JLS star, Aston was favourite to win this year’s competition, but he was knocked out on Sunday evening after facing Mollie King and partner AJ in the dance-off.
Bruno said that Aston’s dance had “losted its style” and Shirley said it “wasn’t his best”.
Here’s just a few tweets of unhappy viewers:
What a fix!!! I bet this is because Aston said he’d quit if his partner went into labour. #Strictly

The #Strictly fix is in. Debbie being lined up. Knocking out the competition. Aston out is ridiculous.

@bbcstrictly have biased judges that undermarked Aston by a mile and we don't get long to vote, not everyone is free at the voting time! That's why Aston is gone, out of order. Not watching this fix anymore. Most people were watching the fireworks at the voting time #Strictly

Some viewers have accused the show of fixing the result because Aston might not have been able to take part in the tour because of his baby, which is due in the new year.
The result of Sunday’s show was leaked online hours before the show.
