I’m A Celebrity 2017: Coronation Street’s Jennie McAlpine signs up!

Coronation Street favourite Jennie McAlpine has finally been persuaded to take part in I’m A Celebrity 2017.

Jennie McAlpine, 33, plays the Fizz Stape in the ITV soap, she will finally swap the cobbles of Corrie for the Australian jungle.

ITV bosses have reportedly been begging Jennie for years to sign up for I’m A Celebrity and it looks like they can finally tick her off their wishlist.

Coronation Street bosses have rescheduled filming for Jennie’s storyline in Corrie to allow her to take part in the reality show.

A source told The Sun: “Jennie’s been on the wishlist for some time and, after a lot of persuasion, she’s agreed to take part this year.

“Corrie have given it the green light because they’ve been able to reschedule her storyline filming  —  so everything has finally fallen into place.

“She’s bubbly and great fun, so the hope is she’ll be a great addition. The producers are over the moon to get her.”

Made In Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo and Hollyoaks favourite Jamie Lomas have also signed up for the seventeenth series of I’m A Celebrity.

The reality show has been confirmed by ITV to return Sunday 19th November at 9pm.

Ant and Dec will return to host the new series on ITV, and I’m A Celeb: Extra Camp, will be fronted by Joe Swash, Joel Dommett, and Scarlett Moffatt.
