I’m A Celebrity 2017: The celebs have their ‘final feast’ before heading into the jungle!

Ant and Dec treated the I’m A Celebrity 2017 contestants to a ‘final feast’ before heading out on their first challenges.

The much anticipated new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has launched on ITV this evening.

10 brand new celebrities have swapped luxury for life in the I’m A Celebrity jungle and will face their fears over the next three weeks.

The cast of 2017 are ex-politician and author Stanley Johnson, actress and soap star Jennie McAlpine, wife of Jamie Vardy Rebekah Vardy, retired footballer Dennis Wise, Youtuber and vlogger Jack Maynard, actor and soap star Jamie Lomas, reality TV star Georgia Toffolo, comedian Shappi Khorsandi, singer and pop star Vanessa White and boxer Amir Khan.

In tonight’s launch show, Stanley, Becky, Vanessa, Toff and Jamie all met at a luxury villa on the Gold Coast, soon after Ant and Dec joined them.

Dec said: “Your journey to the Jungle is about to begin and this year you’ll each be making your way to camp with a celebrity buddy.”

Ant continued: “The public have decided who each of you will be buddied up with.”

The remaining celebrities arrived on a boat, the first celebrity to arrive was Jennie McAlpine who waved at all the celebrities.

The next celebrity to arrive was Jack Maynard, Dec revealed his celebrity buddy was Toff.

The third celebrity to arrive was Shappi Khorsandi and Ant revealed her celebrity buddy was Stanley Johnson.

Ant asked Stanley if he was happy, Stanley turned to Shappi and said: “I’m a happy chappy Shappi.”

Next up was Dennis Wise who Dec revealed was paired with Becky.

Ant said: “Vanessa you’re all on your own”

“I know, this is a sad sad situation”, replied Vanessa.

“This is a random order, you’re not the least popular” said Ant as Vanessa laughed.

Ant introduced the last celebrity who was Amir Khan and asked him if he was excited to be there.

“I am excited, to be honest I’ve never watched the show”, Dec playfully said: “Well to be honest, I’ve never seen you box.” they all laughed.

Ant revealed that Vanessa was Amir’s celebrity buddy and Amir walked over to Vanessa to say hello.

Ant and Dec looked at all the celebrity pairings and then revealed more about their journey into the Jungle: “You’ve now each got your buddy and believe me, you’re going to need them because you guys are in for the toughest start to I’m A Celebrity…ever” said Dec.

Ant said: “For the first few days you will exist on basic rations of rice and beans unless you have a meal ticket.”

Dec continued: “You’ll have the opportunity to win 10 meal tickets over the next few days, the first 5 can be won on your way into the Jungle.  Until you’ve won all 10, some of you are going to go hungry.”

Ant: “But we have some good news, right now we have your final feast, your last meal, so please make sure you eat well.”
